Yeah Yngwie lived up to his reputation of being a self-centred arrogant prick! I got a poster signed by him, he said nothing to me and smiled in a way that said 'I don't like you, but this guy told me to smile at everyone'. Ah well...

Am I right, but was it Satriani that actually teached Yngwie to play fast? He should have teached Yngwie some other things too :P

Na I think Yngwie was almost entirely self-taught. However Satriani did teach Steve Vai and Kirk Hammett from Metallica.

congrats, i coulda met slash, but since im such a ass hole dickface i found out the day after he was in MY town! he was signing his new book...i asked them wut the date was, they said they didnt know, i go over to where it was held, it was the day b4..fuck!

Theres a hilarious video of Yngwie, Satch, and Vai playing voodoo child at G3. Malmsteen sings and uses a way. Its a disaster, but is funny to watch yngwie interupt everybody elses solo. Satch would definitely bring yngwie down to earth.

Looks like a cool event to go too though.

I want to break Yngwie's hands. Simple as that.

I don't want to break them just severely wound them, maybe cut off his finger tips

i would just give him a two stringed guitar(if such guitar existed).... then he might stop playing the same sweep arpeggio pattern several thousand times in a row.

i dont know much about Malmsteen but is he a real asshole like everyone says he is?
