With my statistics, do you think I could make a decent living?

I'm gonna be working for my aunt pretty soon, and I'll be making about $10-$15 bucks an hour. Also, she would essentially just be paying me to do some shit for her. It wouldn't be like I was OFFICIALLY employed, so I wouldn't have to pay taxes on it.

So, $15 an hour + 5 hours of work = $75. $75 + 5 days of work = $375. $375 a week + 4 weeks of work = $1,500.

Not bad for being 15.

Plus, since I plan on saving all my money, and moving out when I'm 18 or 19, I should have somewhere between 60k - 80k. Plus, I plan on working in a local guitar shop, so that'll give me like $400-$500 extra.

Moving out at eighteen is hard unless you have a steady, good paying job, and are married or have a roommate. At least in California. I had the same thoughts but rent is too fucking high in this State so I decided to live as a transient for now.Right now you should save up some money to buy a car and thats about it.

I started working summers and weekends when I was 14. Then started working full time after school when I was 16. Moved away from home when I was 17 and didn't have a dime, but I had a full time job and low rent.

you could try I know that right now if I work for my grandpa I make 1900$ a month and commute is a ten minute walk from my house plus its tax free and paid in cash, thats something you must remember Skold tax takes more than half of what you make, plus if you work most places they can dock like another half of that so you end up making about a quarter maybe a third of your original pay

yeah thats a decent plan especially if its tax free cash and it'll also work well if you save your pay but I don't know it'll be difficult to live on your own

You kidding? I can get a 2 Bed room town house for $1,200 a month. I can also get a 3 bed room apartment for $1,000. But, I only need 1 bed room, so it'll be about $500-$600. Plus, I can live on Ramen and bread (I've done it before, believe me).

That's the living room of where I'd be living, so it's not that bad.

I might. I'll probably go to SJC in Houston for Information Technology.

Haha, yeah. I decided a long time ago that I HAD to have something to fall back on if the music failed.

Actually, I can get a job with Audio Video Designers (Company owned by my contact in the music biz in Houston) with a few courses down there.
