Is the Epiphone Valve Jr. Head and Cabinet gig worthy? Is it loud enough? and what about with bigger cabinets? |

I've played one before, but it was in a bigger cab than the the matching cab for it. With that setup it was loud enough for gigging but I'm unsure how many speakers the usual cab for it has. |

Would you say it was loud or just barely loud enough. I've played with some loud guys and double bass drum. |

It is loud for 5 watts I have the combo version that has a 8" speaker and use this on the church and I keep up with the drummer. The matching cab for the head has a 12" eminence speaker and is more louder than the combo version |

Well, being a very proud owner of the Head & matching 70 watt cab, I would say it is loud enough for a gig at a not-too-big place like maybe an arena or something.
But if you wanna boost up your sound then get an awesome pedal that is super heavy and can go really loud, there is actually ONE good distortion setting on my RP70 and it is SUPER loud that even if it's at about 7 o clock, it is really really really loud lol.
I think it is definitely able to cut through the drums though.
Not 100% sure though because I haven't CRANKED it yet, waiting for a good pedal. And plus I only had this for like 2 weeks or so. Not that long. |

I'm going to say maybe you should get something with a bit more power. |

That is depending on were you are going to play if you are going to play in open areas and want a tube amp. get at least 15 watts or more.
but if you will play in small places the valve junior can work |
