Heard this on Pandora this morning, blew me away. Apparently they are a Dutch band. Seems the best metal bands come from Europe.

Sounds OK. A little generic for the genre to be honest. I call it progressive metal in the sense that each song is designed to progress to a point (hopefully a climactic one!) as opposed to Progressive in the Dream Theater sense (and quite honestly, Dream Theater owns that genre wholly). I think Karhu, Black Crown Initiate and The Mire do it better. And of course there is Opeth.

I think the portions I really enjoyed the most were the ambient feel I got from the keys, as well as the changing from singing to screaming in the song. I never really hear anything like this too often tbh and I really enjoy it. If you know anything that has this ambient sort of feel along with singing, let me know.

I haven't heard Karhu or Black Crown, but I knew Opeth before and they come up a ton on the two Pandora stations I listen to now (Katatonia and Novembre). I like Novembre a ton too; my guess is you will not gs, because it seems our metal tastes are very different, the more we bounce bands off each other. hahaha You didn't care for Angel Vivaldi either!

Here is the acoustic version, which people may enjoy more. Uses a piano and a xylophone, among acoustic strings. Love, love, love it.

I think you would really like Black Crown Initiate. They are a little heavier but totally cool. Karhu is like a combination of Lamb of God and Opeth done amazingly right.

I can dig that. WoW, cool to see that Karhu is getting noted. That band work hard and have damn good musicians. Porcupine tree is also worth to check out...

If you dig ambient stuff check that out

late edit: xD
