I got this idea from a different forum and the idea is where one person submits a rhythm and other members get to add solo or drums or whatever they feel like adding to it. I was wondering if anybody here would be interested?

Cool, but here's few tips...

In collaborations, we record with different programs. Therefore its crucial that if you do track or rhythm, you should tell the tempo and more accurate, you should play into that tempo.

If you dont have a drumtrack in background, use metronome. Thats because putting things together is impossible or atleast take far too much time and effort.

Didn't the forum use to have a backing track thread members jammed to? Could that idea be started up by whoever did that?

Yeah, I'm always up to some jamming :), but there's a difference in BT jams and collaboration songs.

Collaborations are compositions done by the participants, BT jams are leads jammed over finished backers, which there is plenty in youtube or we could make the whole backing track by ourselfs that make it collaboration song xD
