Soooo.....

I wrote this song...And the bass line sounds hauntingly familiar to something I have heard before....Is there a place where I could use a sound clip or so sound recognition software to check to see if the line matches something that has been played before? I checked Around,couldnt find a decent sites,Any suggestions would be great.

Can you tab it out or post a vid? Maybe one of us can tell you where it comes from. I know the iPhone has an app that recognizes songs and will give you the name an artist but I don't remember what it's called. I'm sure they have the same thing for android.

Ill try to make a tab.But its very hard to play slow. Ill make a vid when I get some time.

@macandkanga are there any auto-transcribers for windows? if there's an app that will give you the title based on an audio clip, auto-transcriber would be a piece of cake to develop i guess, know any?

I don't know of any auto-transcribers for windows but I have a couple that I've used for Mac. Widisoft and Tuxguitar. I havent used them in awhile but you can convert MP3 to MIDI and then import the MIDI to a program that will transcribe MIDI. It's a lot of work and not perfect. My ear is so much better than all of this software!

can i give u 2 short loops to transcribe for me? i've never done it, only accidentally [sing a small phrase then accidentally find it on the fretboard like a lil lick], so i'd be cool to have some1 with some experience lay it out...
