Has anyone ever done like a street performance. Street corner,coffee shop ect? If so how did it turn out. Did you make any tips? What was ther crowd like? Did they request songs?

I've played a few 'coffee shop' type gigs. Just play some mellow, ambiguous tunes. You're there for background music, so keep the volume low and nothing fancy. Unless you were actually hired to put on a real show. Don't expect much for tips either.

Thanks man. I just planned on sitting out front,and playing some jazz. I was just gonna see if I could get enough tips to pay for a cupof coffee lol.

you can get enough to get a coffee if you stay for a while. In my area only people who sing while they play get the tips. Especially down in the BART station.
