My first guitar was a late sixties Fender Telecaster that I got from trading a skateboard. It would probably be worth thousands of dollars if I kept it as I got it originally but I trashed the body and the electronics and even the neck. It didn't really play to well but neither did I?
One thing I learned from the whole experience was that a s*** guitar is not fun for a newbie to play. Whenever someone I know wants to buy their first guitar, I always recomend something good. If it can be worked with, I offer to take it home and do a complete setup, intonation, action, etc. |

My first guitar was a Yamaha Nylon Stringed-Classical guitar that my dad bought for me for $60 when I was 10. I messed around with it for a couple years before giving it to my sister to collect dust. A few years after that, I got it back from my sister and sold it to a friend for $40. |

My first guitar was a cruiser by crafter strat copy. It was comfortable and quite decent imo for a £80 guitar only problem was the truss rod was in terrible condition. It lasted 3 years before I replaced it, then I tried replacing the neck but that went horribly wrong so it just gathers dust in a corner. |
