This was my first auadacity project.

No real thought was put into this and then i found out the song got # 2,078 in Electronic out of 307,071 songs.

From what I could hear it sounded pretty decent, the recording quality needs work though.

Btw I wouldn't take too much notice of the soundclick charts I've had songs go up to 300 on the charts without getting a single play, I'm not sure how they rank the songs but it is a mix of how young they are and how much they've been played.

But anyways it sounded rocking!

How can it get on the charts without a single play?

Every song ends up on the charts automatically rated out of how many there are.

A song put on yesterday with no plays will be more current than a song 10 years old whose last play was in 2007.

I'm sure that's the basic gist of it.

I wrote a tango and it gets maybe one play every 2 months and every time it gets that 1 play it leaps up to the top 20 in the latin charts, although the chart leap will be far less extreme for more populated genres like electronic.

Really that's my main bug bear with soundclick, I dislike how I can only get a days stats the next day unlike other sites I'm on and how they do the soundclick charts. Still it holds your music it plays your music do you really need more?

Its like preschool where everybody is a winner. So then if you get fans on soundclick is that fake too?

No fans are real people however I have 6 fans and I think only one has listened to my music. Also 55 friend requests and I don't think any of them have listened.

I believe a lot of them only fan and add you as a friend to make you think they support you so you'll listen to and put their music on your member page to support them.

Personally my current favourite system is www.showcaseyourmusic.com every week it gives you how popular you showcase has been in the last week and last 24 hours out of everyone and you can only hit their chart equivalent if so many people vote for you and you have a so high average. Currently mine says (and has said for a while) "Rank: needs more votes"

Apparently reverbnation is good too but I've only just got one so it's too early for me to say.
