Ok,so i heard somewhere that taking a spring off a floating trem would make it easier to.maneveur,so i did.but now the strings put to much tension on the bridge and make it pull up to high even when super detuned.Like the idiot i am am i lost the spring ); and i cant afford a new one right now.,any suggestions on how to even out the tension of a locking trem with only 2 springs?all answers are welcomed.

p.s. i i tightened the bridge tension as high as it would go,and the string tension was still to.much.

Try putting the springs on posts 2 and 4 on the claw but put the hooks in the 1st and 5th holes. That's how I have mine set up.

It should be. I've got 10s on my strat right now and only have 2 springs. Also, make sure you have the claw screws tightened down at least and eighth of an inch or so below the top of the spring cavity.

No. Not if you adjust it to where the bridge is where it was before.

I would wait till you get a new spring if the tension is still too low with the two springs. The claw screws bite right into bare wood don't they? That isn't something you want to keep messing with IMO.
