In the key of C i go from the 3 to the 6 to the 3 then to

e-------0---------
B-------3---------
G-------2---------
D-------0---------
A-------2---------
E-----------------

Is this some kind of diminished chord?

Well, you have a b, d, a, d, e

A bdim = bdf, you don't have the 5th

Usually it's the 3rd that determines what a chord is since that's the most dominant sound in a chord (anyone of theory can correct me if i'm wrong, but that's why power chords sound like *** :-P)

I'd still say it's a dsus2/b, unless your progression leads to something else. Seeing it in context might make the chord act a different way.

I think your right. When ever i need to figure something out chord wise i use my piano and i think without the f there is no diminished there. But heres the tab in case. I apregiate the chords.

If you call it a D chord Jeff is right. The B is an added 6th but since it is the bass note a slash/split chord name works best. If calling it a B chord it would be B minor 7 add 6(Bm7add6). 1 b3 b7 b3 6
