So I often listen to early 90s rock music and some other music, but as a result, especially with my disdain for modern radio, I don't hear too much music outside what I already listen to. Sad, I know, but I am starting to branch out some. JustJeff with The Reign of Kindo (probably a top 5 band for me now) and AlexB with Infected Muchroom exposed me to some really good music, so I need to keep doing this. Anyways, some of you probably already know of this band, because they aren't new, but I heard them on Pandora and really enjoyed their style. I think it was Minus the Bear radio, not sure. Anyways, enjoy a couple of their tunes!

that's funny. i've known about these guys for a while. they're... OKAY, in my opinion. unique sound, but nothing really outstanding.

this is a great song though:

this was their first single. from what you've posted above, looks like they came out with some new material? i'll have to check it out.

FUN FACT:

"pinback" is the name of one (of three) characters in john carpenter's "dark star" --- his first film. i idolize john carpenter. i love his movies. big trouble in little china, they live, the thing, escape from new york (and LA), and shoot i'm forgetting my favorite one! he has this knack for futuristic, dystopian sci-fi action movies that also serve as a satire on politics (mainly anti-reaganism/consumerism).

but back in the early '80s he made this movie called "dark star" which is just brilliant. pinback is a main character. a lot of bands and movie directors make reference to "dark star"'s characters and subplots

I will have to check out that movie gx, thanks for that info!

And I agree, Pinback is not phenomenal to where I think they should be among the best ever, but I do enjoy this music, so I will give some more of their stuff a shot.
