It look like those are double strings. Meaning they are like the 12 string where they are tuned the same as the other strings. The second video shows a close-up of his fretboard. They are too close together to be played seperately. That is my guess.

I think Im with the nullnaught here, Looks very very close 12 strings without 3, Pretty wicked dude anyway.. not much needed for good rhythm eh? :)

So I know that this is supposedly doubles on strings 1, 2 and 4, and on a 12 string that would be strings 1 and 2 in unison and string 4 an octave up. I just don't have the ear to tell if that's how they're tuned.

Does anyone here play a 12 string?

The 12-String Guitar is tuned with the following arrangement on the strings (from the top lowest to the bottom highest):
eE aA dD gG BB EE
