Model: GCB-95
Sound One: Original Crybaby.
Setup: Guitar direct to Crybaby.
Sound Two: OD Midrange (Think Tom Morello)
Setup: Guitar to Some sort of preamp (Through Fx Loop, or Multi Fx pedal), then Crybaby.
Should it do this? or do i have a "Tom Morello Signature" Wah?
Im just wondering, cause ive never heard of any wah doing this. |

No and no.
Digital Fx have some of the worsts sounds there are. And thats not just coming from a gear snob. Just simply compare.
Crybaby doesnt have true bypass, but isnt a terrible wah, but id true bypass it. The tom morello signature, or any signature are just rip offs. SOmetimes the difference is simply true bypass and a resistor or two. Definatly not worth it.
Then again if your into Digital and Multi FX pedals.... |

i dont know what you are saying. Im using an actual Dunlop Crybaby "Original". But if i put my guitar through a preamp before the crybaby, the tone changes (so the sweep stays in the midrange). It has nothing to do with multi fx effects pedals.(btw I only use my multi fx for a secondary volume control and sometimes Delay). and im not saying its a signature series, it just sounds like Tom's. |

it doesnt have true bypass, it basically sucks tone, however if your using digital fx your tone is getting destroyed. However im a tone snob |

In bypass mode the difference (between bypassing it and "True bypassing" it) isnt really that noticeable. It actually adds to my tone instead of sucking it. When its clicked on my only complaint is the buzzing of the power supply, (which ALL noise disappears in Position 2, but you get TOO much Added Midrange. [I keep my midrange at 0]) which can be avoided with a noise supressor or 9-Volt battery. |

Multi-effects don't suck tone if properly set up, make sure you don't have a high or low pass filter active on the digital effects, another cool effect is to connect the amp input to the iput of the crybaby and nothing into the output, just a warning though it can get a little high pitched |
