Writing

Just wondered how does everyone write there own stuff wether its lyrics first the guitar or the other way round etc???

usually i have a progression, then i just hum out a melody, then write lyrics. but sometimes i come up with some lyrics first, then i find a melody, then find a progression to fit the melody

I do guitar and lyrics at same time. But usually the lyrics come before the guitar. Unless i get the inspiration from the guitar.
(in other words, i sit down with my guitar, a pencil, and a paper)
