Ok guys, I'm looking to pick up a new stack. My three main choices are the three types of Marshall 1960 cabs. There is the normal 1960 a/b. then the aX/bX, and finally the 1960 Hand-Wired. My style is a mix of Heavy rock with blues, reggae, and metal influences. My two main axes are (definitely not stock):

ESP LTD Viper- 300 with Set neck CFS PAF matched AINiCo magnet humbuckers (coil splitting)

ESP LTD M- 250 with EMG 81 and 85 put into it
Here is what I know about them:

Normal...$799.99
* Speaker Type: Celestion G12T-75W
* Speaker Configuration: 4 x12
* Power (RMS): 300W
* Selectable Mono/Stereo: Yes
* Impedance Stereo/Mono: 8 ohm, 16/4 ohm
* 30"W x 32-3/4"H x 14-1/4"D
* 82 lbs.

X...$1,099.99
* 4 x 12" Celestion Greenback G12M speakers
* 100W handling
* Checkered grille cloth
* Straight or Angled front
* 100 lbs

Hand-Wired...$1,199.99
* Hand soldered
* 4x12" cabinet
* 120W
* Mono
* 16 ohm
* Salt 'n' pepper grille
* Metal handles
* Reissue 30W Celestion G12H speakers

HHEEELLLPPPP!

Crash,
your amp is 100W so i'm thinking the first cab (300W) will be underdriven by your amp.
the last (most expensive) hand wired amp is prob your best bet of those you have listed IMO.

hey, do you ever crank the ** out of it? if not, if it stays at bedroom/basment/club volumes then the handwired is good and same with the x. but if your going loud you NEED a 300w cab. the amps put out much more then 100 watts. 100 watt rating is before distortion. so if you ever play loud youll blow your speakers. however the greenbacks and hw will give you better tone. if you got money, get 2 hw cabs!

I'd go with the middle one since it has greenbacks and is the cheaper of the two that have the greenbacks. I hear they're great speakers.

hoesntly to save time theres no need to try them. the hw and the greenbacks will sound the best but they cant handle it if you have a 100 watt head. trust me. unless u play it very soft you need either a full stack of the hw or a 1960 cab
