Crap. My bad. It's a BOSS Super Overdive.

My guitar teacher is offering it to me for 35$ which is damn good compared to fifty plus shipping handling and taxes.
BTW, they have on the musician's friend thing sound clips of "Direct" and "With Amp". What is direct? |

Direct is what it would sound like if you stuck some headphones or recording hardware directly into it. With amp is what it sounds like coming through an amp. |

modded, it's cool. analogman has a great Tube Screamer mod for it.
but buying it as is? nah. i sold mine a few months back and don't regret it whatsoever. |

I just got one of these pedals, it works great as a boost and adding a bit of crunch to your clean sound. If your after a lot of gain don't buy it, its the smoothest pedal that boss do in terms of distortion. |

ive only ever used it as a boost, but there are better things to use if your just looking for a boost. |

Not for $35 there aint! If you want to spend $150 or more then yes treat yourself to a Fulltone Fat Boost or an Ibanez TS808 etc..
but you won't get a better boost than the SD-1 for $35. |

yeah, i guess it just a matter of opinion. it wasn't the worst pedal i ever had, but i would have rather put that money elsewhere and saved up for something better. |

I really just want something to stand out in solos and to kind of crunch up the clean sound for more 70's 80's pop rock choruses or whatever you wish to call it. Tom Petty esque I guess. |

if you save up a little bit more money, id go for a TS808 for that. everyone is going to have a different opinion, i just didnt feel the SD1 was worth my money in the long run. |
