I play this chord progression in G minor, but i don't know what the chords is called.
G|-3-|
D1-5-|
G|-2-|
D1-3-|
And
G|-5-|
D1-7-|
What kinda chords is this?
I doesen't really matter cause i know where and how they sound good, but its just good to know what kinda chords im playing:) |

the first chord is a 3rd (G3) but if you add C# you can make it Gdim. or if you add a D its just Gmin.
the second chord is Gdim. without the root so its just A# and C#.
the third chord is almost an inverted Gmaj. (you arent playing G) because youre playing the B instead of A#. |

well. I don't think your in Gm to tell you the truth. there's no sharps in the key of Gm by the way. I'm pretty sure the chords your playing are G Minor - F Major - A Minor
it seems to me that your in F Major/Dminor. If originally you were playing chords in Gm, this could just be modulation. read it up. |

I take that back about being in Fmajor. you could be in a billion different keys, but unless you play Am with a flat 5th, I think your more lenient towards F major (only because of the natural E). |

guitarmastergod: What you are saying is technically true, but the key of Gm is Bb and Eb - I know what you said is correct enharmonically but the key is written with 2 flats, not sharps.
