Ok, I don't know much about bass stuff but i want to find out for my friend who is interested in learning bass
Will a normal electric guitar amp work for a bass or is there certain amps made specifically for bass guitars? |

it wont work 'well'. it will amplify the sound, but you can only push it to a certain extent. i wouldnt plug a bass into a half-stack or anything like that, cause youll screw up the cab. there is some major risk to the amplifier. you can play guitar through a bass amp though. it just sounds dull. |

buy a bass/keyboard amp for bass. A guitar amp is not designed to handle the lower frequencies that the bass produces. I would have no reservation about plugging a guitar into a bass amp though. |
