I would probably choose the Cort. I prefer maple fingerboards, and Swamp Ash is supposed to be fairly good wood for bodies. Plus, it's got locking tuners. And it has two single coils and a humbucker, so it would be fairly versatile. If all that stuff works, that seems like the best deal.
But if you can try before you buy, do it. Just pick the one that feels/sounds best to YOU. |

Get the dot!! Nothing else comparies except maybe another hollowbody
I am a very proud owner of a dot and i love it. The dot has a nice woody sound you can pull some good rock out of it and some nice blues tones too. It's perfect for everything, maybe not metal. The thing will sustain for ever.
If you really looking for a tone to make your playing stand out get the dot. the LP and ST's are all humbuckers seated in mahogany body's. they sound the same The dot sounds different. I got the Red one it's such a great guitar

Yeah, thanks for opinions. Cort seems also nice choise (read few user reviews of it), but they say that it easily gets marks and such on body, so it might be not so good for gigging... though wore looks could be rock :P.
Ive always wanted a hollow body, cuz im such an B.B King fan. My band and I play a Hard-Rock and we have few gigs in year, but I dont know how it looks when im on stage :P. Also when I do my solo projects I mostly play heavy and heavy rock stuff and I wonder how it sound on those.
Another big factor in my choise is how versatile I can change the tone on guitar so I think Dot is good in that am I right?
LP guitars I must leave, cuz I dont like thick necks. |

You should play a dot and then decide. I have herd people say that the dot's have chunky necks but I have not noticed it. as for playing metal the dot will not be a good choice.
