I thin you should go with the line 6 just because i have not heard a lot about sans amp.
Back in the day they were the only company doing the amp modeling but i think so many company's have blown them away.
I have a Johnson J station that I love!!!! basic and simple and kicks but. |

I have Line 6 POD and I like it. Used it on the gigs too...
Advantages to sansamp it have different models of amp that it emulates like ’60 Tweed Fender Champ, ’60 Vox AC 15, ’60 Vox AC 30 non-Top Boost, ’64 Fender Deluxe Reverb to name the few.
It also have cabinets where the sounds based on like 1960 Vox AC-15, 1964 Fender Deluxe Reverb, 1965 Fender Blackface Twin Reverb and 1996 Marshall with Vintage 30s, 1978 Marshall® with stock 70s to name the few.
also James Hetfield from Metallica used Line6 products so Ill suggest that one. Above specs are from POD 2.0 but there is newer POD XT too, but I dun know deeply how different they are when compared.
Cheers!
