I recently bought a DigiTech "Screamin' Blues" and tried out the Grunge pedal (they had a whole digitech board). I thought it was pretty cool, but I don't have any experience with the Boss. |

Boss > Digitech any day.
My experience with Digitech: Their quality is improving but still not up to par with Boss, and you could throw a Boss pedal out of a moving car, and it would still work. You'll run into defects with both (had to replace my Blues Driver once, thankfully Boss has an excellent warranty as well), but overall, Boss is the way to go. |

I was going to buy the Blues Driver (off of Musician's Friend, thus no first-hand experience) but I encountered DigiTech's pedal on sale in a store and said "what the hell?" It is SOLID, I mean only slightly less tankish than my Dunlop Crybaby. |

Yeah, I always try to test everything out before I buy, and trying out similar items helps too. It's just hard to get everything you want to try in one place! |

Well, thankfully my dad agreed to take me into the Music store to test out some stuff today.
So I guess I will find out in just a few hours. |

I don't have any experience with the DigiTech Grunge but the DS-1 sucks ass. At least it did on my setup.

I hated my Epi LP.
No offense.
But The Special II wasn't very good imo.
Maybe it was my amp, idk.
I just got back from Music store.
I came home with a BOSS MD-2 Mega Distortion
Anyone know anything bout this?
Anyone have good presets for me? Preferably punky ones.
Is it worth the 73.40 CDN I paid?
It doesn't seem too bad so far. |

most boss pedals come with a list of presets for different kinds of music.

None taken. I love my les paul but there are a lot of people that don't like them. |

I got mine used. Btw that should have been 73.50 not 73.40
It didn't come with a manual but I found one online as a PDF.
I liked mine at first then i was like... eww.
I still have my eye on this sexy blue Gibson Les Paul, hehe |

I have never played a special II but I think they are on the low end of the epi les pauls. Mine is a standard. |

I think they are.
I remember mine was $170 CDN
A standard might be better, I don't know - never tried it. |

Ahhh, a friend of mine bought a Digitech Death Metal. It was painful! He probably didn't know how to use it, but christ, it had all kinds of hissing and basically no guitar sound at all. But then, that's my opinion of them, and this was a while back when I was still into metal. |

Mine wasn't hissing. It sounded awesome. I had sweet sounding guitar with it. He musta had something wrong with it, or it was his amp. |

lol. The same kind of pedal Kurt USED.
Personally I'm going with Danelectro. On the od channell it feeds back waaaayyyyyy too much but on the clean channel....wow. Dimebag dude. It's beautiful. Plus once I turn it off I cn go right to clean since I don't have a proper footswitch. It works wonders with a Wah wah too. Now I'm looking at a half tack to round everything out. Anyone ever hear a Raven?

Wow you have the power of resurrection! this thread was dead for 10 months and its back to life! sorry i dont mean to be a bit of a douche but it is a little annoying to see very old threads back up for some pointless reason. |
