does any body know any reggae scales or dub scales? |

Major, minor, major/minor pent., doz...ups...dorian, blues, mixolydian, some jazz scales(especially in the early roots reggae)..., or pretty much any scale commonly used in popular music.What makes reggae/dub so unique are the distinctive rhythm, timing, voicings and skillful use of effects not so much the scales used. |

Yeah, I remember what you're name is, you had it on your profile until a few months ago I think. Just found you on facebook lol
And yes, reggae is more rhythm orientated than lead, although using major and minor diatonic scales and pentatonics won't go too far wrong. Dub is even less lead-based. Add plenty of delay and reverb on to your guitar, and strum muted strings etc. |
