Just asking

Do you think that people is born with a natural talent or skills to play an instrument?
If that's right, if you choose a different instrument, it would be more difficult to learn to play it

Well, you can't really be born and say like, someone hands you a guitar when you are 7yrs old and they expect you to play something like Master of Puppets, and you can do it. But, you can have the skills because some people are born with skills to play percussion, some are born with skills to to play guitar. It just just depends on how God made you and how your body was born. but you can practice a lot to obtain these skills, both mental, and physical. I hope that's not too confusing.

couldnt agree more. some people are born with the ability to pick up and understand music better than others. for those who arent, like myself, we just have to spend twice as many hours practicing to keep up.

i envy those with work ethic more then talent

I can go along with that dsesh. Talent without self-discipline can easily turn you into an under-achiever. After 42 years I'm probably one of the best 3 chord wonders around !

I kinda dont look at it as work because i love to play,practice and what not but when i was younger it was more sacrifice,I was alone at home away from everyone,practicing.Work ethic and talent go togther to me,some it comes easy others work harder but that is life,I do not envy anyone...to each his own.

Yeah it is more of play. Yes, you work AT IT to better yourself. but it is fun work. You are playing.

And, I never really learned how to read music, like with the notes etc. I couldn't be bothered cause I just read tab.
