I wrote this song following the chords Cm, A#, G#, G, Gm, and Fm.
now the tools on this website tell me that the only scale for these chords is D# bebop major.
I'm wondering however why? I don't use a D# chord, it feels more like Cm is the dominint chord of the song, and the song itself sounds more like it's in a minor key than a Major key.
I know this ain't relevant for the song itself or anything. I was just wondering why according to the music theory the scale should be D# major. can someone please explain? |

The scale is C minor
You just added a B in with the G chord.
Don't worry a C minor scale should work fine. Just switch from a A# to a B when you hit the G in your chord progression (if your planning a solo over it).
Hope that helps. |

If you look at the D# bebop it is a Cmin. It just uses a flat or dominant 7th and a Major 7th. |
