Need urgent help please!

Hi there!
I want to buy a Loop station pedal from Ebay called the boomerang III
The pedal is in USA via a guitar shop and I live in SOuth Africa.
USA use 110v and South africa use 220v. Must I use a step down transformer? or can i just use a regular 220 pedal adaptor?
Any advice would be much appreciated cuz the pedal is abit expensive 0_o

You have to check if it is dual voltage. If it isn't dual voltage, than a 100W transformer for $25 should do the trick. I run into the same problem all the time living here in Germany. The only issues with transformers is in your electricity bill. But like I said, just by a 100w transformer from amazon, like this one: Transformer .

hmmm but if i buy a normal local 220v 9v adaptor that should be fine? i mean the unit itself doesnt have a power suplly? that goes for most pedals isnt it?

You can usually by either a 220v or 110v power supply depending on what you need for any pedal. You just need to make sure that the PEDAL itself can handle 220v. Otherwise you will need a transformer.
