Songwriting

I have been writing songs since I was 18...at first I wrote maybe one song each year...that has increased over the years but I think it was because of life experience...I am what is known as an inspirational songwriter...so I never know when I will write...it depends what happens..I often wonder whether my last song will be my last...I had gone 18 months this time but recently I have written 4....they are incredibly sad ones at the moment...but I am true to my feelings and sometimes life is sad...but I don't believe in hiding from life...it is better to face your 'demons'...pardon the expression and deal with them. My acoustic guitar is lovingly known as the 'cat' in my house and I use her as an accompaniment...the lyrics and melody always take precident...so sorry all you musicians out there! I tend to fit the chords to my tune...rather than the other way round. But its worked for me for nigh on 30 years...so don't knock it...it works
