The Digitech rp6

Do any of y'all have or have any of you used a Digitech rp6 multi effects processor? And, what do y'all think of it. I'm looking to get one.

I had the RP7 years ago and I loved it. I dont know what the RP7 had that the RP6 did'nt have though. I remember having to do some tweaks to dial in the sounds I wanted.

I wanted it for convenience but found myself buying separate pedals until I was happy with the sounds I wanted. Then, I ended up getting rid of everything for a line 6 PODXT when they first came out and havent looked back.

The best thing to do is to try it before you buy it!

Hmm, ok. I'd like to try one but they're hard to come by in the first place and, seeing as to how this ones in Vermont I just cant see it. Thanks for the info, and I don't think there's a huge difference between the 6 and the 7, idk though.

Ok I found out (i think) the difference between the rp6 and the rp7. the rp7 is a says its called rp7 valve. What does it mean by valve?

I think the valve is because it is tube-driven.

I just got back from the guitar center and that's exactly what the tech there told me. Tube-driven.

Thats cool, 1+ for the rp7. Do you remember if you like the distortion and the delay on it, those are my main needs.

Yes I did. I really liked everything about it. If you google it, you'll find people are still using this thing and they like it! I wanted it to play straight through a 4 track recorder monitored by two studio speakers. It sounded kinda thin in that set up. Through a nice amp it sounded excellent! The whole idea of the valve is that you got warm tube like tone through a good amp using a device with all effects in one place.

Again, the only reason I got rid of it was because I was scaling down for computer recording. To be honest, I wish I still had it!

I just need to add though. If you find one for $50 bucks or less, get it. Anything more than that is too much for something that old that you're unable to try. Now if you're able to try one before you buy it is another story. I really don't like to buy anything effects related from the internet without trying it first at a store. They have a used section at GC but they didn't have one when I went earlier today. Don't go by any youtube videos either. It's not a good way to really hear what you're looking for.

Yeah, I've got a chance to probly get one for $50 + shipping that's close to mint so I'm hopin to get it. They sell for more that that on ebay.
