it contains Am , Gm and Fmaj (or dm7 or F6 when count open D string with it)
I explain a little, Gm and Fmaj are played with open E, B and G strings in 6th and 5th frets and using open D string with them
Im planning to fit it into my rhythm that is, but I missing one chord that I can again start the same progression with Am.
I dun know if this is bit strange or badly explained, but any tips are welcome. I just cant find the proper chord that leads to Am.
Thanks in advance.

Why not Cmaj? |

Just using those first three chords you said you were playing, you could play Bb, C, Dm or Edim. Or if you wanted to play on the Dm7, you could change the Bb to a Bb7 and the Edim to a Em7b5.
I'm also thinking you can alternate keys. For example, Your Am, Gm and F are in the key of F Major (you can fit the Dm7 in there as well). However, if you were to play an Adim, Gm and F that would be in the key of Bb major, where you could also add that Dm7 if you wanted to. I don't know if that was confusing, so here is a table to show you what I mean:
B Flat Major Triads: Bb Cm Dm Eb F Gm Adim
F Major Triads: F Gm Am Bb C Dm Edim
B Flat Major 7th Triads: Bb7 Cm7 Dm7 Eb7 F7 Gm7 Am7b5
F Major 7th Triads: F7 Gm7 Am7 Bb7 C7 Dm7 Em7b5
You can see where the keys cross over.
I hoped that helped a bit. |

Thanks guys, helped indeed and gave me a lot of ideas to it. I might add that Bb major also, but dunno know yet how, because whole progression is not ready yet...
@Relaxed
Yeah, I thought and tried Cmaj before, but somehow it didnt sounded right, but when I gave it another change and actually 6th variation of Cmaj fits perfectly!...
I think its also good key change from Fmaj to Cmaj or what you say?

If you are going to add the Bb then go for it. Fmaj and Cmaj are pretty similar so it wouldn't be a drastic switch. Something nice and mellow. Best of luck and rock on. |
