"Can't" is a terribile thing to say, "not yet" is what you should be saying, assuring you WILL become pro :)
First thing, make sure you're in tune before you play and don't mess with it half way through. Second; DON'T STOP PLAYING!! Just roll with it man and keep going. If you were on stage and just stopped playing it's be a disaster! Your playing sounded fun, but you can tell you've recently been introduced to the guitar (or you haven't gotten to know your friend yet) Play slower and just listen to what you play, compare it to your inspiration, link the melodies together and try and find notes and phrases that you like to hear, memorise them and use them in future solos.
Also, learn crap loads of songs! The more songs you learn, the better you'll be and the more you'll gradually come to "see" on the guitar.
The reason it sounded so sloppy was i commited the mortal sin of not playing for a few days. The whole idea behind the vid was to recored the ideas that were in my head at the time, not to be one smooth playthrough, but i totally understand about what your saying for an actual performance. And yes i do need to learn many many songs, but i am under huge time constraints so i usually end up learning just the main riff or the general idea behind the riff of the song and then apply that to my playing. Again keep the advice coming it is helpful to me.
Tuning Note: i was in drop D but changed to standard, but then forgot the riff i wanted to play so i dropped back down to D, wasn't that i was out of tune.

When learning songs I advice you to learn things other than a riff and power chords so you can improve you skills as a musician. As fun as they are they're also limiting if that's the only thing you plan on learning.
I know it can be limiting but i do try to lean some songs all the way through, and maybee riff wasn't exactly the right term to use. I do appreciate the advice it does help me with my playing.
