wheres Jason Becker? he's by far the best, him and Jeff Loomis. Rob Marcello is good too. Vinnie Moore is too much of a "Rock" guitarist, at least from what ive heard. Yngwie is alright, but missing the best part about classical music, the slow and sad songs, like Requiem and Moonlight Sonata. i havnt heard enough of Joe and Tony's music to say anything about it |

sorry guys but randy rhoads was litterally on of the first "neo classical" and hes the best. yngwie is the definition of it though, all he plays is classical. randy however combined rock, blues, classical to make awsome. lol |

just because he was one of the first doesnt mean he's the best. he may have had some classical elements to his solos sometimes, but that doesnt make him a neoclassical guitarist |

I agree. Jeff is probably the most proficient and skilled on guitar, but his stuff isn't always neoclassical sounding. Back when Marty and Jason were playing together. Both of them get my vote. |
