My guitar is set up for extra light guage strings. However i find these to be too light so i would like to start using regular lights but i dont want to have to spend my money to get my guitar set up i would rather just adjust it myself. how can i do this? i do have an extra spring that came with the guitar will that help?

type how to set up a guitar in Google read as much a you can about it before you do it. and your need a electronic tune or much better ears the me (good piano tuning ears). it all can be done with simple adjustments with the exception of the nut and if you meed a new nut then you need to pay someone to make you one because you don't have the tools to do it. but then again a lot of ibanezs if memory serves me have metal locking nuts and then i can't help you for i don't know how they work exactly in terms of string gauge.

uhh, all you have to do is string on the heavier gauges, pop off the back and adjust the springs in the back with a screwdriver. if you have a floyd rose or the like its going to be a little more complicated. id have to see the guitar.

When you change string gauges you will also want to make sure that the guitar's intonation is set up correctly. If the intonation isn't set up properly, your guitar will sound out of tune when you move up the fret board.

It doesn't like it's too hard to set up on your guitar. Googling it like RA suggested is probably your best bet.

yeah i guess i should have mentioned intonation, though that's partially what adjusting the springs is for.
