You can get guitar pro for free, so if you can find a download then I would definately recommend it. You can download a free 15 day trial I think, and then you could probably download it again! |

Step One: http://utorrent.com/
Step Two: http://thepiratebay.org/tor/3710748/Guitar_Pro_5.2_(with_complete_RSE_packs)
Then just open the installer, put in the key and star usin' it.
And don't worry, no viruses, I downloaded this exact one, ti didn't tske long at all... And my computer is still clean too. |

I duno much about it, but from what I've read, you can only have two tracks (guitar and bass), whereas in Guitar Pro you can have loads of tracks (128 MIDI instruments, plus a couple of drum maps). Personally I would download it just to see what it's like. It's not that hard to use once you get used to it, which shouldn't take long, especially if you've already been using Power Tab |

I agree with BHS,
I myself find the program easy to use. I think I learned it in less than an hour... the basics anyway. It has a lot of stuff in it (part of why it CAN be tricky to learn)
Basically, click then lines, then type a number for the fret, same as using dashes and number in microsoft office word. You can play it back in midi, and it has different sounds for each instrument.
As bhs said, download it just to try it and see what you think.. plus I provided you the links right there to be able to get it.
If I knew more about the program I would definitely share my knowledge with you, but I only know a little bit about it (I wasn't using it for THAT long) |
