I am setting my guitar up and something is off bad. It is equipped with stopbar tail piece like a gibson or whatnot. I adjusted the neck first and then set the action and then intination. The neck is straight as an arrow, the action is perfect,(used a dime to get 55 thousandths), and the intonation is now spot on but the low E saddle is all the way back towards the bridge and wont go any further but its also spot on as well. I am getting bad string buzz on almost all strings within the first 4 frets from the headstock up and some on the 12th fret. Any ideas whats going on. I looked at the frets and there isnt any lifting. Oh the dime thing I found out on youtube. The guy said action should be around 50 to 60 thousandths and a modern dime is 55. I hope he knows what he is talking about. |

i aksed this also, losen ur action up, if u have more action it wont hit it, but if u can deal with it, and its not a lot itll go away. i played through mine, took about a week to go aways. |

Your saying make them higher? By the way I just put new strings on it like a week ago. Dont know if that matters. And how do you mean it will go away? |

Well, make it higher... but only do it slightly. Keep adjusting it a tiny bit at a time until you get rid of the buzz. Having new strings shouldn't give that problem, so it needs sorting this way anyway. |

i had the same prob, is it like a huge buzzing or is it only when u hit it hard, if its huge, losen the action by the bridge, if it isnt just leave it alone. |
