Is a Teisco guitar a good brand? I found one that is 125$ish, and i'm wondering if i would get good quality for it..

I used to have one but would not recommend getting one or maybe it was a Kay brand. It played like dung and never stayed in tune. back in the ol' grunge days we broke it Kurt Cobain style at one of our shows.

From what I hear, it's a shit brand. But of course, there are fans of the Esteban guitar, so I guess it's all opinions, really.

I actually first learned guitar on a Teisco electric. That was MANY years ago and it was "okay" for starters and had a thin neck and easy action, but didn't hold tuning very well.

Teisco guitars were last made in the 60's and unless you're buying the Del Ray version/model, I wouldn't pay that much for it.

Here's what mine looked like:

Actually, I've heard that old Teiscos are supposed to be superb. I've not heard much about the new ones, but if you pay only $125 for any guitar new, you're definitely taking a risk.

A friend of mine has that exact model "SillyLittleBoy." Or, at least, it looks to be the same :)
