mic vs pick up

Hi i have a parker p28 i am using a titan mic by se a ssl logic channal strip and a Apoge 200,but im not getting the sound, do you think i should use a pickup insted of mic, i was told a good mic is far better than a pick up the SE titan is fantasic on vocals, but i just am not getting anything like the SSl sound from the parker, i know somthing is not right.

I got awesome results on my acoustic by mixing the 2. my acoustic does not have a built in pick up but i have one of those woody sound hole job's. i had 2 different guitar parts, so I over dubbed miked acoustic and pickup acoustic.

When i use the Miked part it was too bassy and the pick up was too trebibly. (man i sound like Goldie Locks & the three bears) I then blended them until i thought they were just right. too bad i got pissed off and deleted the entire session. I'm to anal about some things.....
