FINGER WORKOUTS!!

Ok, so I've compiled a list a finger workouts to help improve ones technical ability on the guitar. I've tried to arrange them so the easiest are first, but some may be out of order...Some of these may be familiar, some may not. Start slowly [at around 100bpm] with a metronome or drum kit and slowly speed up.


This is simple chromatic workout, which i was hesitant to add, but figured i would anyway:

This next workout is a variation of the previous. I've found that it helps to get your mind
used to playing scale patterns because it moves in that kind of flow.

This can be tricky so play it slow! play all the 1's with your index finger, all the 2's with
your middle finger, all the 3's with your ring finger and all the 4's with your pinky.

This workout is designed to help you with string skipping, using all four fingers and creating melodies over a rhythm without
having a lead guitarist. It srather long so it may be easier if you break it into parts as you go (ive added breaks to certain spots
to help you out). Again play all the 1's with your index finger, all the 2's with your middle finger, all the 3's with your ring
finger and all the 4's with your pinky
[0's indicate a string being played open].

This next workout is a little complicated and can be tricky for some... 1's played with index
finger, 2's played with middle finger, 3's played with ring finger and 4's played with
pinky.

hehe...actually the first part of the 4th one is a riff in a song of mine called "annihilation". i was playing it and thought...well this is hard and would be good for practice!

lol i got some hard wierd fast ones i'll have to run a program to tab them kinda backwards open runs i think you'll enjoy,i'll see if i can get the program.I dont read notes or things just by ear so i can't tab them . but from my understanding of bpm it would be off the scale

tab has nothing to do with what notes youre playing. all tab does is tell you where to play. but im lookin forward to seeing some of your stuff...

There's nothing simple in chromatic for beginners, I love all the exercises!
