Why does everyone say that the Ibanez Gio series sucks ?
I own a Gio GSZ120 and I think it is an amazing guitar and is very versatile as well. Great for heavy metal. But lots of people say they suck and stay away from them ? I disagree....

Maybe because it's just a lower end Ibanez. It might be a good guitar for it's price... but in general it won't be as good as the expensive guitars because of the different in quality you're paying for.

But I'm no expert, and I might be missing something.

180 is pretty good, my GSZ120 as mentioned up there was only 100 dollars more. I like it

I feel the exact same about B.C. Rich, man!
Except, hold on... Canadian to American. Let's see... uh uh... yup...
you add this? sure... oh oh oh, we're converting... so you have to... and then you...
Wow. Not that much of a difference at all.
So my Warlock was 400 US dollars, which is, uh... Hold on...
400.84 CAD
I could get used to Canada, eh?
Just kidding, the 'eh' is the American stereotype.

I have a Gio, but I don't hate it. It's been very reliable, I've had no problems with it at all.

I wouldn't mind getting a new guitar though!

I don't hate it, but mine seems to have sharp frets, low quality wood, low quality parts, etc. Still, it sounds decent through my set-up.

I would trade it for a good Epiphone, though.

It's still being used though, at the end of the day. You use a guitar to play music. You play guitar to make music. Whatever.
