I have extremely small hands which make it very difficult to create a C or G chord. This is made worse by some recent damage to the ligaments in my left hand.
Can anyone tell me whether a universal partial capo like the Third Hand will enable me to manage these chords? Or would it just complicate things?

You should explore different fingerings. Also, understand that a chords can have their tonalities broken down into individual notes. Instead of playing an C like this:
e:-0-|
B:-1-|
D:-0-|
G:-2-|
A:-3-|
E:-x-|
Play it like this:
e:-x-|
B:-x-|
G:-x-|
D:-2-|
A:-3-|
E:-3-|
That should be much easier to manage.
Hope that helps.
Rock on! |
