When I first saw this site; I got here I believe searching for the c chord. It was pretty obvious the red 'X's were not to be played; and the yellow 'O's defined what strings to play; and what fret to use.
However; some of these 'O's have an 'r' in them; and I can't quite figure out what they mean. I was hoping someone of you could tell me.

Can you give us an example of a chord? |

Hey, I've just realised... it just means that that note is the root note. If you notice for a C Major the R are in the cirlces that are on a fret that makes the sound of a C note.
You shouldn't worry about it if you're just learning the chords, but it's good to remember. Just learn the chord as if they were just normal circles notes really... nothing to it. |

Thanks. They work beautifully indeed without paying attention to the (r) symbols; but I was just wondering what it means. Thank you for the information. |
