yeah pro tools costs alot more than just the program but is well worth it its not very user friendly so you will probobly have to watch a lot of tutorials and stuff not to mention you have to get an mbox aprox.(300$). there is alot of plug-ins for pro tools which is sweet 'cause the more plug-ins you have the more ** you can do. Its definatly an investment, but pro tools kicks ass, with the right plug-ins you can do ANYTHING. |

it has to be digidesign to be protools compatible. they can be quite expensive the single xlr mini is around 350 and the two channel is about 450, although i think you can hook a regular mixing board into an mbox which is much cheeper because its about 1600 for eight channels. i dont personally have pro- tools but i was took some recording classes last semester. pro tools is funny because there is alot of diffrent types of setups, mostly it depends on how you want to use it. |

yeah depending on what mics you have. and thats where you could have interface problems cuz you need about 3 channels minimum to record a full set. pro tools is a mixing program, so its does the same thing for any instrament. |

Protools is not a sequencer...so its gonna be kinda hard to program something in there,Logic pro Is nice....but i really preffer others,if you are an intermediate i would suggest Cubase 5,wich is as good,if not better than protools and logic, or FL Studio, for a simpler way to get the things done |
