Gun Club

does anyone know what guitar amp the guitarist used...i just love that sound...not that it really matters cause im dirt poor, what i have to work with (if you can recomend something close to it) is a strat and a microcube) thanks before hand

i dont speak very well english, so i didnt understand your question. but ive got a guitar that looks almost like a strat -(i dont know if it sounds like a strat cause ive never played one)- and its very much affordable. like 90 dollars (USA) its a lyon of washburn

hummm, GC changed at least 4 guitarists during their career, so it depends.
As far as I know, vocalist/guitarist Jeffrey Lee Pierce(the only constant member of the band) usually played Fender Strats.Have no idea which amp he was using at the time.Judging from the sound I'd say it was either one of the Fender or Vox amps.
Kid Kongo used a Rickenbecker guitar(probably one from the 600 series)at the begining and later switched to Fender and early Squier Stratocasters. The amp he was using during the Gun club period was usually Fender Twin amp.
Ward Dotson played Fender Telecaster and Fender Jaguar (or Jazzmaster) guitar through Marshall amps.
