I have the solid-body version of this guitar,
http://www.guitarcenter.com/Ibanez-Artcore-AS73-Electric-Guitar-102457306-i1150605.gc
I am looking to buy some pickups so I can get a better sound than I have now without buying a new guitar. Looking for a pete townshend sound, or david gilmour. Also, under 100 bucks. Any suggestions ? |

Check out Guitar fetish
They have some decent pickups and good prices. I have heard some good feed back about them when replacing stock import pups, but they will not compare with a $300 set of Gibson.
I've had my eye on some " vintage 59"'s for my lp copy and a " dream 180" and " p90" set for my epip dot.

Tele would those pickups be a good replacement on my Lp copy i have the stock pickup in the bridge position, and some form of a barcus berry humbucker in the neck position. i like the sound of the original pickup but i want to replace it with a chrome one instead of the gold and i would also like a matching set. Also any recommendations for a strat? |

I think so.
I was looking at the vintage 59's for a les paul. but really there so many choices i'm hand a difficult time deciding. the vintage 59's will be more of a classic rock output pickup.
I think it also depends on your type of music.
I would read the descriptions and see if that helps. If you looking for a higher output pickup, more metal like there are a couple different one's to choose from.
as for the strat I was looking at the texas set but I'm not sure if i'm going to be keeping my strat. I'm considering selling it just cuz i don't play it much any more.

Ok ill look at some of the higher output pickups then cause i play alot of metal. I have to say their prices are fantastic especially for those hard to find replacement parts. |
