Pickup

Has anyone ever heard of barcus-berry pickups, and if so what kind of pickups are they quality wise. I have a 1970's LP copy guitar that has one in the neck position and i was wondering if it was anything special.

As far as I know, Barcus Berry pickups are made for acoustic instruments. So having an acoustic pickup on an LP should give you an extremely unique sound. The retail prices usually start at close to $100 and can cost up to $300 for their wind instrument pickups.

Interesting it looks exactly like a normal humbucker, and it definately has a unique sound to it, i will post a pic of it later if i have time .
