I don't like tuning down unless I can play the whole song, improvisation or not. So, the song Science, by System of a Down, is
C G C F A D, and the tab section i wish to NOT improvise is:
d-------------------------------
a-------------------------------
f------------------------------7
c------------------------------7
g-0-0-0-0-0-0-------7-8-10-8-7-5
c-0-0-0-0-0-0-8--10-------------
How can I play that in standard?
Also, in the event that the tab failed, here is the link:

I think it would go:
d----------------------------------------
a-----------------------------------------
f-----------------------------------9------------
c-----------------------------------9----------
g-2-2-2-2-2-2--------9-10-12-10-9-7-7----------
c-4-4-4-4-4-4-12--14--------------------------
Since the lowest string is 2 whole steps (4 half steps) down, play 4 frets up. Since the other strings are one whole step (2 half steps) down, play two frets up.

Usually when I pick up a song where I have to drop the strings, it takes a few minutes to do it the first time, but as I progressively get through the song it takes less and less time to drop tune the strings. So far so, as to when I can do it in like 10 seconds
Lol, that was my 2 cents |
