Played in drop D tuning (low to high: D A D G B E) this is just a cool shred style lick in the key of G minor...it sounds best if played legato...

E:-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------||
B:-----------------------------------------------------------------8-----------------------||
G:-------------------------------------------------8-10-12-8-10-12---10----8---------------||
D:---------------------------------8-10-12-8-10-12----------------------12---10---8--------||

I know how you feel when you stated "No one checks these licks out anyway!" Shame I had a load of them ready to go and when I saw this comment I thought maybe you are right.

Forgot to add in it looks like you are doing all the work also. Maybe it time to have a re-think or what the website aim is. I like the rest of the site.

Also may be someone can give a new topic of how to upload the tab and what section should I put things in. I am happy to help anyone, but when only a dedicated few is it worth it?

hey this lick sounds really neat is its some sort of diminished? what is it? it reminds me of diminished chords but just straight up the neck 5/5 for awesomeness haha

well since its in drop D tuning, the first part of the lick is A# ionian, i think, and then it switches to C dorian (i think hehe). thats the first thing that i think is cool about it, that you're switching scales without changing your hand position, which is why i love drop D tuning. the second cool thing is that you play A#, C and D twice just an octave higher the second time. im not sure how to relate it to any chords except Gm-the D and A# are the fifth and minor third of Gm. glad you like it though!
