Ok, I was at work today and I heard this decent song being played on the music system. It had a kinda funk-rock vibe. I've got no idea what the song is called though, or who it's by.
I managed to hear some of the lyrics, and I think they were "I won't take it like that" repeated several times. I tried googling them though, and I didn't get anywhere. I could be that it was "can't" or "don't" rather than "won't", or "make", "shake" etc instead of "take".
I'm sorry this is really vague, but does anyone have any ideas? I've been searching for nearly 2 hours now and it's driving me crazy! |

No, it's not Tom Petty, but it's the closest anything has come to it. It's on the music system at work, which has loads of songs on it, but there's a computer up on reception that says what song is playing and the artist. I'm doing a 6 hour shift today, and a 7 hour shift tommorow, so chances are, if I listen carefully, I might hear it again! I'll radio the people on reception and get them to find out what it is, et voila! lol |

Nope, thanks for the suggestion though. There were loads of horns in it, male vocalist, and I'm pretty sure the rhythm guitar had these offbeat, staccato 9th chords during the solo. |

Funky bluesy rock, with horns and a male singer. Quite lively, dancable music. |

I'm pretty sure it isn't Los Lonely Boys, which song in particular were you suggesting? Definately not NOFX. Could be either US or UK. |

Yeah, it's my last day tommorow before I go back to uni. At the end of the shift tonight I was on that computer skipping tracks trying to find it but I couldn't. I'll try again tommorow. 7 hours = 420 minutes. If each song lasts 4 minutes then that's 105 songs... nowhere near the number of songs they have on that computer, but there's a reasonable chance. It's weird, sometimes you hear a song and never hear it again, and sometimes there are songs that get played loads. I even heard some RATM once. ONCE lol |
