I have a question about "power tabs" and "guitar pro" relating to the quality of and acuracy of the tabs available for each program.
I have the "power tabs' program (because it's free)! I don't have guitar pro (because it costs money)! I have noticed that many of the tabs written for "power tabs" are questionable as far as acuracy is concerned. I was wondering if "guitar pro" is any better in that sense and is worth spending the money on.
I'm a newby and i'm not looking to write music at this time, so the features of "guitar pro" aren't really important to me yet, just wondering if the tabs are better. Thanks

most of the guitar pro tabs are really accurate, and you'll be able to find a free copy of guitar pro on the net somewhere.

and also, guitar pro is midi capitable, so if you can't find the .gp5 file for a song, then you could always look for the midi and download it and import it into guitar pro. This is especially useful for getting the tabs/notation for classical music or jazz, because guitar pro files are not often available for them.
