another prob

k ive been trying the intro to thunderstruck by ac/dc, my prob is tht after every note i have to hit the first string. its very hard. like this:
--4p0h7p0h4p0h7p0h4p0h7--and so on. i can hit the 0's fast enough, my right hand always seems to pick the notes i play, hard to explain, but its simply this, my right hand wont pick the 0's and when i pull off its sloppy. idk if this has anything to do with it, but i cant pat my head and rub my tummy, u no tht kinda thing.

im ready to chop off my hand like tht artist did 2 his ear. help?

Put on a bath roab and mellow down easy! That said try not picking any notes and just tap the whole thing, remember to tap from the finger not the wrist. Another trick you might be willing to try is while learning to tap it play it on the e string. If that fails try tapping the 7's with your right index finger & the 4's with your left. One last thing, Angus removed his e string on the original recording.
