It's a shame really. I just guess he didn't want to stick around after the little debate he had in another thread... but honestly - no one's going to hold a grudge. I know for a fact I don't hold grudges on this forum... if I disagree I disagree but it doesn't give me any disposition to the person I disagree with.

He posted quite frequently aswell, so as I said, it's a shame.

I don't think I saw that debate, which thread was it in? He was a good contributor to the site. Notim, if you're reading this, please come back.

It was in the scales and progressions thread. Someone was asking about theory and asking specific questions and he sort of said (though the post was very cryptic, so I may be a slight bit off) that you should play from your soul rather than learn loads of music theory.

A few of us disagreed and said that we thought music theory was a good thing, and knowing more theory won't limit you - it'll just add to your abilities. The next message he got a bit angry (well, it seemed so, but the internet is easily misguiding) and not much more happened besides people saying we don't think we should be argueing really. We should let ourselves get into debates without it getting all nasty.

But yeah, you should really come back and post.

Yes come back Notim, if only for the reason that us 'old folks' are so thin on the ground on this site. I'm feeling lonely already!
I think it's best to take everything with a pinch of salt. Think of the old adage, "we're not teenagers therefore our opinion is of no consequence!"
